I have not been excited about software development in recent times. The latest was when I started learning iOS development while working as an Android developer some years back.
However, while troubleshooting a Fastlane bug recently, I had to look at many files written in Ruby, and I was intrigued with the language.
I have been learning Ruby for the past few days, and I am enjoying it. Something that strikes me so far is how readable it is, and its concise nature does not come at too much of a legibility cost.
Why Ruby?
Ruby is very handy with tooling in iOS development, advanced Podfile configuration, and custom Fastlane lanes.
So cheers to adding Ruby to the relatively short list of programming languages I know as I chug along to becoming a pretty skilled polyglot.
